Development News #3

Yeah, there was a long break in the development process of Yaaic. I was quite unmotivated developing on Yaaic and I had a lot of other stuff to do but the last days I was excited about continuing :)

If you are interessted in the sourcecode or the development steps, you may want to follow the stream at Github: http://github.com/pocmo/Yaaic

The screenshot on the left shows the current server list (green = connected, orange = connecting, red = disconnected). It looks boring currently but maybe I'll get some help with the graphics after there's a first beta release. There's also need for a Yaaic logo or icon! :)

Development News #2

I finally got my T-Mobile G1 and now I'm even more motivated to continue developing Yaaic. :)

In the screenshots section you'll find some new screenshots of the new GUI.

In addition to that the IRC connections are now handled by a service in the background and will continue to exist even if you close the application as long as you decide to be online in IRC.

Yaaic can now handle multiple server connections. Yeah, multiserver support! :) But its currently only in the background, so you actually don't see anything of this at the moment. :)

Check out the screenshots! I hope I can deliver a first beta version to the beta testers soon.

Development News #1

Yaaic is already quite useable and as the client is the homepage is also still in some beta (or even alpha) state.

The client now has a nice transparent background enabling you to view what's behind the client. There are some screenshots available!

Currently I'm implementing multichannel and multiserver support as there's only a single window for everything as by now :)

In the Videos section is now a video of the early development version. Stay tuned for further updates :)
