Since today Yaaic is available at the official Android Market! :) Use the QR-Code to the left to search for Yaaic in the Market. Or use the following link (this only works from an Android device): Yaaic (Market).
Of corse you are still able to download Yaaic here if you don't like the Market or if you just can't use it.

Heya! The third release of Yaaic is ready to download. There have been a lot of improvements. See the changelog for a full list of everything that has changed.
New key features: SSL support, an awesome icon, support for different charsets, notifications, .... and more.
In addition to that this is the first release of Yaaic with contributions from a lot of more authors: Günther from androidicons.com designed a real cool icon for Yaaic. Kell implemented a useful /help command. And tkn provided a bugfix for the development version of Yaaic.
Have fun with the new release! :)

Günther from androidicons.com created an awesome icon for Yaaic. I really love it and it will be definitely in the next release of Yaaic :)
Instead of donating to Yaaic, go ahead and donate to androidicons.com. They also have some very nice free icons for your Android projects there.

It's just one week ago since I released Yaaic 0.1. Now, after 6 days and 57 commits, it's time to release Yaaic 0.2. There have been a lot of bugfixes and enhancements. See the changelog for a complete list of what has changed.
The last version had an ugly bug causing some messages to appear in the wrong channels / queries. Therefore it's recommend to upgrade to Yaaic 0.2! As you may have noticed I dropped the word "beta" from the name, but as long as there's a 0 at the beginning of the version number Yaaic should be considered as Beta version. :)
Have fun with the new release! :)
I uploaded some new screenshots showing the current version.

It's finally done. The first beta release of Yaaic is available for download. Have fun testing! But remember: This is a beta release. There may be some bugs (currently I don't know any but there will be some probably).
If you encounter a bug it would be awesome if you could post a small description of the steps to reproducs at the issue tracker.
By the way there's a new video at vimeo (currently processing) showing some of the features of Yaaic. And hey, there's now a Facebook Page for Yaaic. :)

Yeah, there was a long break in the development process of Yaaic. I was quite unmotivated developing on Yaaic and I had a lot of other stuff to do but the last days I was excited about continuing :)
If you are interessted in the sourcecode or the development steps, you may want to follow the stream at Github: http://github.com/pocmo/Yaaic
The screenshot on the left shows the current server list (green = connected, orange = connecting, red = disconnected). It looks boring currently but maybe I'll get some help with the graphics after there's a first beta release. There's also need for a Yaaic logo or icon! :)

I finally got my T-Mobile G1 and now I'm even more motivated to continue developing Yaaic. :)
In the screenshots section you'll find some new screenshots of the new GUI.
In addition to that the IRC connections are now handled by a service in the background and will continue to exist even if you close the application as long as you decide to be online in IRC.
Yaaic can now handle multiple server connections. Yeah, multiserver support! :) But its currently only in the background, so you actually don't see anything of this at the moment. :)
Check out the screenshots! I hope I can deliver a first beta version to the beta testers soon.

Yaaic is already quite useable and as the client is the homepage is also still in some beta (or even alpha) state.
The client now has a nice transparent background enabling you to view what's behind the client. There are some screenshots available!
Currently I'm implementing multichannel and multiserver support as there's only a single window for everything as by now :)
In the Videos section is now a video of the early development version. Stay tuned for further updates :)
